Shot on 8mm film in 1946, this vintage home movie captures two young boys riding tricycles down a quiet residential street in East Orange, New Jersey. The older boy pedals a standard tricycle while the younger child rides a smaller, red-trimmed model. Both wear period-appropriate clothing—shorts and light shirts—under the warm glow of late afternoon sun. The scene unfolds on a paved road lined with classic 1940s automobiles, their chrome details catching the light. The footage exhibits natural film grain, slight color fading, and a nostalgic, candid quality characteristic of mid-century home movies. This authentic slice of Americana offers rich archival footage for documentaries, nostalgic content, and historical storytelling.
