Core Responsibilities

  • Research dates, locations, people, events, and cultural context per clip.
  • Write precise titles, descriptions, tags, and controlled taxonomy fields.
  • Audit metadata consistency and correct legacy data quality issues.
  • Partner with editorial and SEO to improve discoverability on site and marketplaces.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in archival research, documentary research, or media cataloging.
  • Strong verification discipline and source documentation habits.
  • Comfort working with large metadata sets and structured data fields.
  • Excellent writing quality for descriptive, factual, high-clarity metadata.

First 90 Days

  • Own metadata quality for priority legacy collections.
  • Ship a repeatable research workflow and QA checklist.
  • Improve search relevance for top licensing categories.
