Step-by-Step Licensing Process
- Browse or search the archive. Use our curated collections, footage landing pages, or search to find clips by keyword, decade, and location.
- Preview clips. Each clip includes a thumbnail on Stockfilm and a watermarked preview on Pond5. Review framing, color, and content before purchasing.
- License on Pond5. Click the Pond5 link on any clip to open it on the Pond5 marketplace. Complete your purchase through their secure checkout.
- Download immediately. After licensing, download the clip files directly from your Pond5 account in your preferred resolution. No waiting period.
- Use in your project. The royalty-free license covers most commercial and editorial uses worldwide with no expiration.

Stockfilm clips are licensed through Pond5 under their standard royalty-free pricing. Typical price ranges:
- HD (1080p): $15 - $79 per clip
- 4K: $49 - $199 per clip

Our footage originates from 8mm, Super 8, and occasionally 16mm home movie film. Original reels are professionally scanned and digitally restored. Available download formats include:
