Rounded 1950s automobile body styling, a wide-brimmed fedora, and a residential street of two-story clapboard houses all support a mid-1950s American setting.

Home-movie behavior

A camera-holder filmed within the scene itself captures the reflexive quality of home-movie culture — ordinary people spontaneously documenting one another.
