Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1940s U.S. home-movie requests needing a brief recreational backyard golf scene for documentary, museum, or education edits.
Period detail: The dress, brick residential setting, black-and-white 8mm look, and 1946 metadata support a mid-1940s domestic recreation reading.
Home-movie behavior: The woman appears casually filmed while practicing golf swings outdoors, giving the clip an unstaged family-record view of leisure at home.
What appears in frame: A woman with a golf club, backyard ground, cut vegetation, brick house walls, windows, and strong film-edge vignetting are visible.
Film character: The clip has pronounced 8mm grain, soft focus, contrasty exposure, and dark rounded frame edges that read as authentic home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short cutaway, memory beat, or transitional insert for postwar leisure, sports at home, or family recreation.
Historical context: The scene visually suggests everyday recreational activity around a Pennsylvania residence without proving broader social or sporting context.
Research note: A visible adult person and residential exterior require likeness and property review separate from any copyright or source-film assessment.
Research search match: Search phrases include 1946 8mm backyard golf, 1940s woman playing golf, Pennsylvania home movie recreation, and vintage domestic sports footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with the same reel, then other New Cumberland 1946 material, then related 1940s home recreation or amateur sports scenes.
