Pine Tree State Park With Lake And Autumn Foliage — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1971, this vintage home movie captures a scenic view of a lake surrounded by dense forest, with a distant shoreline of trees and houses under a cloudy sky. The footage includes a clear shot of a wooden sign reading 'PINE TREE STATE PARK' in bold yellow letters, confirming the location. The final frames show vibrant autumn foliage, with a striking tree displaying bright orange leaves among green and yellow trees. Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1971 Wisconsin 8mm home-movie footage suited to documentary requests for state-park signage, autumn woods, and quiet outdoor recreation cutaways.
Period detail: The wooden park sign, yellow painted lettering, handheld framing, and warm 8mm color may show an early 1970s visitor record of a Wisconsin state-park stop.
Home-movie behavior: The clip carries a visitor-shot perspective, pausing on the park sign before turning toward trees and autumn color rather than staging a formal travel view.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include the Pine Tree State Park sign, yellow lettering, weathered wood planks, tree trunks, green woods, yellow leaves, orange foliage, and black frame edges.
Film character: The footage has 8mm grain, slight softness, uneven exposure, handheld tilt, warm color fading, and contact-frame borders that preserve its physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as an establishing insert, location confirmation, seasonal transition, or brief memory beat within a Wisconsin travel or recreation sequence.
Historical context: The frames document a modest public-park visit through signage and fall foliage, reflecting a domestic outdoor leisure setting without visible people or vehicles.
Research note: The park name appears as public signage and should be reviewed for location identification; no people are visible, but copyright and property issues remain separate clearance questions.
Research search match: Useful matches include 1971 Wisconsin 8mm state park sign, Pine Tree State Park autumn foliage, vintage home movie lake woods, and 1970s Midwest park footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent same-reel lake and park views, then with other 1971 Wisconsin footage, then with autumn foliage, state-park signage, and Midwestern travel scenes.
