A Mascot Playing Games With A Spectator — Clip Details

A man in a large bird mascot costume interacts with a spectator at a Ringling Brothers circus event in Sarasota, Florida, in 1948. Shot on 8mm film, the footage captures the playful moment as the performer bends down to engage with a child near a decorative cake display. The scene unfolds outdoors with circus wagons and tents in the background, showcasing the vibrant colors and nostalgic charm of mid-century carnival life. The grainy, slightly faded quality of the Super 8 footage enhances its authentic vintage feel.
