Three Women Walking Out Of House At Night — Clip Details

ALASKA-1946: Three women walk together outside a house at night, captured on grainy 8mm film. The woman on the left wears a red dress and brown cardigan, the middle woman in a dark dress has her arm around the older woman, and the woman on the right wears a blue jacket over a patterned dress. Their faces are partially illuminated by a dim light source, creating a nostalgic, intimate mood. The scene is set against a dark house exterior with visible siding and a porch post, evoking a quiet, personal moment from mid-20th century Alaska. The footage shows natural film grain, slight camera shake, and the characteristic soft focus of vintage home movies.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1940s Alaska home-movie footage for documentary or museum edits needing a brief nighttime family or social exterior moment.
Period detail: Clothing, 8mm color texture, and the stated 1946 Alaska metadata support a mid-1940s domestic exterior, though no landmark is visible.
Home-movie behavior: Three women walk close together toward the camera in an unstaged home-movie moment, with one woman’s arm around another.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include three women, dresses and jackets, grass, house siding, a porch post, dark windows, and dim exterior light.
Film character: The clip has soft 8mm focus, heavy grain, dark exposure, handheld framing, and color shifts that give it recognizable physical-film texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a memory beat, family-life insert, nighttime transition, or cutaway within a 1940s Alaska sequence.
Historical context: The scene shows women together outside a modest house at night, offering social and domestic context without identifying the people or property.
Research note: People and faces are visible, so likeness review may be needed; copyright, location, and property considerations should be checked separately.
Research search match: Useful for searches such as 1940s Alaska home movie, women walking outside house, nighttime family footage, and vintage 8mm domestic exterior.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1946 Alaska material, then related home-movie scenes of family, houses, and nighttime gatherings.
