Girl Swimming To Help — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1953, this vintage home movie captures a young girl swimming in a pool, her movements fluid as she practices the butterfly stroke. The blue-tinted water and grainy texture of the Super 8 footage evoke a nostalgic, mid-century American summer. In one frame, two men observe from the water, suggesting a teaching or safety context. The footage, likely from a family vacation or community pool, offers authentic archival material for documentaries, nostalgic content, or historical storytelling.
