Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1950s home-movie requests needing domestic summer leisure, backyard pool activity, or childhood swimming as editorial texture.
Period detail: The blue-tinted 8mm footage may show mid-century domestic recreation, with no visible landmarks or objects that independently identify Yonkers.
Home-movie behavior: The swimmer appears relaxed and unposed, moving through the pool while the camera observes from a family home-movie perspective.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a swimmer, blue pool water, splashes, submerged limbs, dark hair, frame edges, and heavy 8mm grain.
Film character: The clip has dense grain, high contrast, soft focus, blue color cast, and slight handheld instability typical of scanned 8mm home movies.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief memory beat, summer cutaway, childhood insert, or transition within a family-life sequence.
Historical context: The scene supports a visual note on mid-century family leisure and backyard swimming without making broader claims beyond the home-movie setting.
Research note: People and a visible face require likeness review; copyright, privacy, and any property considerations should be checked separately.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1950s 8mm home movie swimming pool, Yonkers New York family footage, girl swimming, and vintage summer recreation.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent footage from the same reel, then Yonkers or 1953 material, then broader 1950s family leisure and swimming scenes.
