Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s documentary or education edits needing candid Utah home-movie footage of family recreation in a rocky creek swimming area.
Period detail: The swimwear, sun hats, handheld 8mm look, and metadata-supported 1969 date place this as late-1960s outdoor vacation footage.
Home-movie behavior: The value is in unstaged leisure behavior as people wade, watch, take pictures, and move through the creek pool together.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include adults in swimsuits, sun hats, canyon rock walls, shallow creek water, a natural pool, shadowed rock passages, and sparse greenery.
Film character: The clip has grainy 8mm texture, soft focus, uneven handheld framing, warm faded color, and exposure shifts from bright rock to shaded water.
Edit role: Editors could use it as a brief cutaway, memory beat, vacation insert, or transition within stories about family travel, outdoor recreation, or Utah landscapes.
Historical context: The footage shows casual mid-century American outdoor recreation in a canyon creek setting without making claims about a specific landmark or event.
Research note: People and faces are visible, so likeness review may be needed; no logos or private property are apparent, and copyright clearance is separate from appearance releases.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1969 Utah 8mm home movie, 1960s family swimming creek, vintage canyon recreation, and home-movie waterfall pool footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other Utah 1969 outdoor scenes, then broader 1960s family swimming or canyon vacation footage.
