Children Ice Skating on Frozen Lake — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1955, this vintage home movie captures children ice skating on a frozen lake in Idaho. A young boy in a dark coat and a girl in a light-colored coat glide across the icy surface, their movements slightly unsteady as they enjoy the winter day. The frozen lake is surrounded by a dense forest of evergreen trees under a pale sky. The footage exhibits classic Super 8 grain, color shifts, and natural motion blur, conveying a nostalgic, candid moment of winter fun from the mid-20th century.
