Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1930s New Jersey home-movie footage for productions needing a brief domestic leisure or summer swimming insert.
Period detail: The swim cap, simple backyard pool ladder, and black-and-white 8mm look may show late-1930s private recreation details.
Home-movie behavior: A woman casually enters the pool and swims while the camera observes from a nearby home-movie vantage point.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a woman in a swim cap, pool water, metal ladder, pool edge, dense planting, lawn, and a low rectangular object near the side.
Film character: The clip has soft focus, visible grain, slight exposure variation, and contact-print framing that give it a physical 8mm home-film texture.
Edit role: Editors could use it as a short cutaway, memory beat, or transition for home life, summer leisure, or private recreation sequences.
Historical context: The scene places swimming in a domestic outdoor setting, offering visual context for everyday leisure without identifying the people or property.
Research note: A visible adult likeness and possible private residential setting require review; copyright, likeness, and property permissions should be assessed separately.
Research search match: Useful for searches such as 1930s New Jersey home movie swimming pool, woman swim cap 8mm, backyard pool leisure footage, and vintage summer recreation.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent footage from the same reel, then other New Jersey 1938 material, then broader home-movie pool or summer leisure scenes.
