Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Supports 1930s documentary or educational requests for California family leisure footage with a brief outdoor feeding-time scene at Oakland's Lake Merritt Wild Game Refuge.
Period detail: The typed title card, formal casual clothing, fruit basket, and black-and-white 8mm look place the scene in a 1930s home-movie context supported by the clip metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The value is an informal family feeding moment, with adults posing and eating apples in a relaxed outdoor setting rather than performing for a staged production.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include three adults, apples, a fruit basket, leafy trees, grass, a typed location card, and the phrase Feeding time.
Film character: The footage has dense black-and-white grain, soft focus, slight exposure fluctuation, and home-movie framing that preserve the texture of original 8mm film.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short memory beat, location-confirming insert, or transition into a sequence about family outings, parks, or animal-feeding leisure.
Historical context: The clip shows a social visit to a public refuge setting, with the title card identifying Lake Merritt in Oakland and the action centered on feeding or eating fruit.
Research note: People are visible and may require likeness review; no logos are apparent, and copyright, location, and any property permissions should be assessed separately.
Research search match: Useful for searches such as 1930s 8mm California home movie, Lake Merritt Oakland refuge feeding time, family eating apples, and vintage outdoor picnic footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then with 1937 Lake Merritt or Oakland material, then with broader family outing and public park scenes.
