Kids Playing In A Field Around The Old Neighborhood — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1962, this vintage home movie captures a quiet moment in a rural neighborhood in Izmir, Turkey. Children play in a grassy field in front of weathered white houses with tiled roofs, while adults gather in small groups. The footage shows a community scene with people in period clothing, viewed through a slightly shaky lens with natural film grain and soft focus. The houses are clustered on a hillside, creating a layered, textured backdrop. This authentic slice of mid-century Turkish life offers a nostalgic glimpse into everyday life in a traditional village setting.
