Shot on 8mm film in 1962, this vintage footage captures a hillside settlement in Izmir, Turkey, with tightly packed, weathered houses ascending the slope. The scene shows a mix of white-washed and dilapidated structures with tiled roofs, surrounded by bare trees under an overcast sky. A grassy field in the foreground features a young boy walking past, while groups of people gather near the buildings. The film exhibits natural grain, slight color fading, and a handheld perspective, conveying a raw, authentic slice of mid-century Turkish life.
