Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for archival requests needing 1950s Indiana home-movie footage of casual summer pool recreation with identifiable adults at play.
Period detail: The white swim cap, dark swimsuit, rubber inner tube, and blue-cast 8mm color may show mid-century leisure styling without visible landmarks or brands.
Home-movie behavior: The value is in the unstaged interaction as adults smile, swim, and play with an inner tube while the camera watches from poolside.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include rippling pool water, an adult man in a black inner tube, a woman in a white swim cap, pool-edge tile, swimsuits, faces, and film gate borders.
Film character: The scan carries 8mm texture with soft focus, visible grain, slight exposure variation, blue color cast, and contact-sheet frame edges that signal physical home-movie origin.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short memory beat, recreational cutaway, or warm transition in sequences about summer, leisure, family archives, or 1950s daily life.
Historical context: The clip documents informal pool recreation in Indiana in 1959, showing adults using a rubber float in a casual home-movie setting.
Research note: People and faces are visible, so likeness review may be needed; no logos, music, or clear private property claims are visible, and copyright status should be checked separately.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1959 Indiana 8mm swimming pool footage, vintage home movie pool play, adults with inner tube, and mid-century summer recreation.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with footage from the same reel, then other Indiana 1959 home movies, then broader 1950s swimming pool or summer leisure scenes.
