Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1961 8mm aerial travel footage suited to documentary, museum, or editorial requests for mid-century Paris establishing views.
Period detail: The frames show river traffic, tree-lined embankments, dense urban blocks, and the Arc de Triomphe, with the 1961 date supported by clip metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The clip carries a visitor-shot aerial perspective, drifting over recognizable landmarks rather than staging action at street level.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include the Seine, bridges, riverboats, embankment roads, parkland, apartment blocks, and the Arc de Triomphe.
Film character: The 8mm scan shows purple color shift, soft focus, grain, gate edges, and motion blur that identify it as physical home-movie film.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief Paris establishing insert, travel transition, memory beat, or aerial cutaway between street-level scenes.
Historical context: The footage places landmark Paris architecture and river circulation within a compact mid-century travel-film view without showing identifiable people.
Research note: No people, brands, or audible music are flagged, but landmark, copyright, and property-context questions should still be reviewed for intended use.
Research search match: Useful for searches such as 1961 Paris 8mm aerial footage, Seine riverboats home movie, Arc de Triomphe aerial view, and vintage France travel film.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1961 Paris material, then broader vintage European travel or aerial city footage.
