Aerial 8mm film footage from 1961 captures the Arc de Triomphe centered in Paris, surrounded by dense city buildings and green parkland. Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1960s Paris aerial home-movie footage suited to documentary inserts about travel, urban landmarks, or mid-century visitor views of the city.
Period detail: The aerial view shows dense low-rise Paris blocks, broad avenues, parkland, and the Arc de Triomphe area, with the final frames shifting to a green marked ground surface seen from above.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has a visitor-shot aerial perspective, with slight handheld drift and framing changes that preserve the feel of a personal travel record rather than staged coverage.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include the Arc de Triomphe, radiating avenues, city buildings, green parkland, a divided contact-sheet edge, a marked green field, pale triangular markings, and surrounding paved areas.
Film character: Faded color, soft focus, visible grain, exposure variation, and gate-edge shadows give the 8mm scan a clear physical-film character.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short Paris establishing insert, a travel-memory transition, or a cutaway from recognizable landmark views to abstract aerial detail.
Historical context: The footage visually situates Paris as a dense urban and ceremonial landscape seen from above, without showing identifiable people or street-level activity.
Research note: No people, logos, or audible music are indicated, but landmark, copyright, and property-use questions should still be reviewed for the intended release context.
Research search match: Useful searches include 1961 Paris 8mm aerial footage, Arc de Triomphe home movie, vintage France travel film, and 1960s city landmark aerial view.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then with 1961 Paris or France footage, and finally with mid-century aerial landmark or European travel material.
