Ithaca New York-1979: People In A Park At Sunset

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit

Useful for 1970s home-movie requests needing a brief winter park, twilight, or small-town New York memory insert for documentary or editorial use.

Period detail

The frames may show late-1970s 8mm color stock traits, winter coats, and a simple park landscape, with the Ithaca, New York date and place supported by clip metadata.

Home-movie behavior

The footage has an unstaged visitor perspective, moving from a sunset view to people standing or walking in a snowy park.

What appears in frame

Visible elements include a blue twilight sky, orange horizon glow, red/pink film-burn frames, snow-covered ground, bare trees, a bench, and two bundled park visitors.

Film character

The clip shows grain, saturated blue and magenta color shifts, soft focus, exposure variation, and slight handheld instability typical of scanned 8mm home movies.

Edit role

An editor could use it as a short transition, memory beat, seasonal cutaway, or visual bridge from sunset into a winter public-park scene.

Historical context

The scene documents an everyday cold-weather public space with bundled visitors and bare trees, without enough visual detail to identify a specific park or event.

Research note

People are visible at a distance, so likeness review may be needed; no logos, private property, or audible music are indicated, and copyright clearance is separate from depicted-person review.
