A vintage 8mm film clip from Ithaca, New York, in 1979 captures a high school marching band practicing on a green football field. The band members, dressed in dark uniforms with brass instruments, form a curved formation under the watchful eye of a drum major in white. The footage, shot from an elevated angle, shows the full breadth of the field with yard lines and goalposts visible. The grainy, slightly faded color palette and subtle film jitter evoke a nostalgic, authentic home movie feel from the late 1970s.
