Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1960s 8mm home-movie footage suited for documentary or educational uses needing a visitor-shot view of a roadside or pilgrimage-site crucifix in Colorado.
Period detail: The 1965 metadata and 8mm color stock support a mid-1960s setting, while the visible scene shows a wooden cross, white Christ figure, stonework, boulders, trees, and bright sky.
Home-movie behavior: The slow upward tilt and close framing preserve a visitor's devotional viewpoint rather than a staged or institutional record of the religious site.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a white crucifix figure, dark wooden cross, large boulders, low stone wall, leafy trees, pale sky, and heavy film-frame borders.
Film character: The clip has a home-movie film texture with soft focus, visible grain, purple-blue color shift, uneven exposure, and slight handheld movement.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short cutaway, contemplative insert, transition, or memory beat in sequences about faith, travel, pilgrimage, or regional religious landmarks.
Historical context: The footage documents how a mid-century visitor encountered a public religious display in San Luis, Colorado, without proving the site's ownership, denomination, or event context.
Research note: No people, faces, logos, or audible music are indicated, but the religious artwork and site should still be reviewed for copyright, property, and location permissions.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1965 8mm crucifix footage, San Luis Colorado religious site, home movie pilgrimage cross, and vintage Catholic devotional statue.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1965 San Luis or Colorado travel footage, then broader home-movie material on pilgrimage sites, crosses, and devotional landmarks.
