Jesus Christ On The Cross — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1965, this vintage home movie captures a white stone crucifixion statue of Jesus Christ mounted on a wooden cross against a large rock formation in San Luis Colorado. The scene is set outdoors with trees and foliage in the background under natural daylight. The footage shows slight camera movement, with the frame shifting to reveal different angles of the statue, including a low-angle view emphasizing its placement on the rock. The image exhibits classic Super 8 film characteristics: soft focus, warm color tones, and visible grain, evoking a nostalgic, religious atmosphere. This archival clip offers authentic religious imagery for documentaries, editorial content, or historical projects.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1960s 8mm home-movie footage for documentary or editorial requests needing outdoor Christian devotional imagery in San Luis, Colorado.
Period detail: The clip shows a white crucifixion statue on a wooden cross, with the 1965 date supported by metadata rather than visible signage or dated objects.
Home-movie behavior: The handheld framing has a visitor-shot perspective, lingering on the statue and shifting slightly as if documenting a place of religious interest.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include the white Christ figure, dark wooden cross, large rock face, trees, foliage, daylight, and rounded 8mm frame edges.
Film character: Soft focus, visible grain, warm color, mild exposure variation, and handheld drift give the scan a physical 8mm home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a religious cutaway, memory beat, location insert, or quiet transition in a sequence about faith, pilgrimage, or regional history.
Historical context: The scene documents a public-facing devotional sculpture in an outdoor rocky setting, without visible worshippers, signage, or identifiable people.
Research note: No people, logos, or audible music are indicated, but copyright, sculpture rights, site permissions, and location identification should be reviewed separately.
