Shot on 8mm film in 1948, this vintage footage captures a behind-the-scenes moment at the Ringling Brothers circus in Sarasota, Florida. A line of elephants, some adorned with pink blankets, stand in a dirt enclosure as performers in pink ballet-style costumes prepare for a show. Circus staff and onlookers move around the animals under a large tent, with striped circus tents and red trailers visible in the background. The warm, slightly faded color palette and film grain evoke a nostalgic, mid-century Americana feel, offering a rare glimpse into classic circus life.
