Lynbrook New York-1976: Ladies In A Kitchen Drinking

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit

Fits documentary or editorial requests for authentic 1970s American domestic interiors, everyday social scenes, or period kitchen and lifestyle B-roll.

Period detail

Visible 1970s cues include bouffant-style dark hair, an orange sleeveless dress, floral curtains, a chrome percolator, and a dark glass bottle on a kitchen counter.

Home-movie behavior

The subjects appear candid and unposed; one woman leans absorbed in counter activity while another is casually present, giving the clip a relaxed, unguarded domestic quality.

What appears in frame

Two women, kitchen counter, glass jars, dark pan with food items, chrome percolator, floral curtains, orange sleeveless dress, and a dark bottle.

Film character

Warm 8mm color palette with visible grain, slightly dim and uneven exposure, and the intimate framing of a handheld home camera give the footage authentic period texture.

Edit role

Works as a domestic interior cutaway or memory-beat insert in a 1970s period piece, social history documentary, or nostalgia-driven narrative sequence.

Historical context

The kitchen appliances, fashion details, and informal social gathering may reflect typical middle-class suburban domestic life in the mid-1970s northeastern United States.
