Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s American home-movie requests needing brief backyard pool or summer leisure footage for documentary, education, or editorial inserts.
Period detail: The frames may show a 1971 suburban backyard pool setting, with concrete coping, turquoise water, warm color, and casual domestic recreation as the visible era clues.
Home-movie behavior: The clip carries unstaged home-movie value through a casual swimmer in a pool and simple observational framing rather than posed action.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include rippling pool water, concrete pool edge, bright sunlight, a swimmer, dark film borders, soft focus, and a mostly blank overexposed frame.
Film character: The 8mm scan shows warm color drift, soft focus, visible grain, gate edges, scratches, and exposure variation that read as physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a short summer-memory cutaway, transition, or domestic leisure insert within a 1970s family-life sequence.
Historical context: The footage reflects private suburban leisure and pool recreation without enough visible detail to support broader claims beyond the supplied Lynbrook, New York metadata.
Research note: Metadata lists no logos, music, or minors, but the swimmer-like figure should still be reviewed for likeness, property, copyright, and release considerations.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1971 Lynbrook New York 8mm pool footage, 1970s backyard swimming home movie, and vintage family summer water clip.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1971 Lynbrook home movies, then broader 1970s pool and summer leisure footage.
