Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s home-movie requests needing a brief backyard summer recreation scene with a child using a pool slide in suburban New York.
Period detail: The blue plastic slide, striped patio umbrella, swim trunks, lawn setting, and 8mm color stock may show early 1970s family leisure details.
Home-movie behavior: The clip preserves an unstaged family moment as a child climbs and slides while another person stands nearby in a casual poolside setting.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a blue pool slide, metal ladder rails, grassy lawn, pale sky, striped beach umbrella, swim trunks, and soft tree shapes in the distance.
Film character: The footage has grainy 8mm texture, soft focus, muted color, and slight handheld framing consistent with scanned home-movie film.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short memory beat, summer insert, family-life cutaway, or transition within a 1970s childhood sequence.
Historical context: The scene reflects casual suburban outdoor recreation and family filming practices without making broader claims beyond the visible poolside activity.
Research note: People and a likely child are visible, so likeness and minor-use review may be needed; copyright and any property considerations should be checked separately.
Research search match: Likely matches searches for 1971 Lynbrook New York 8mm home movie, child on pool slide, backyard summer recreation, and vintage family footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with nearby shots from the same reel, then other Lynbrook 1971 family footage, then broader 1970s backyard pool and summer childhood scenes.
