Youth Swimmers At Poolside — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1953, this vintage home movie captures a group of young swimmers at a pool in Yonkers, New York. Children in retro swimsuits stand on starting blocks, preparing for a race or lesson, while others watch from the sidelines. The scene is set outdoors with trees and a chain-link fence in the background, bathed in natural light. The footage shows classic Super 8 film grain and color saturation, with a brief shot of swimmers in the water. This authentic archival clip evokes mid-century Americana and youth sports culture.
