Shot on 8mm film in 1953, this vintage home movie captures a women's swimming competition at a public pool in Yonkers, New York. Swimmers in dark swimsuits perform the breaststroke, creating splashes as they move through the blue water. The pool deck is visible with spectators standing and sitting nearby, some in period-appropriate swimwear. The footage exhibits classic Super 8 characteristics: grainy texture, faded blue color tint, and slight motion blur, offering a nostalgic glimpse into mid-century recreational sports and community life.
