Youth Swimmers Enjoying Lap Swimming At Public Pool — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1953, this vintage home movie captures youth swimmers in action at a public pool in Yonkers, New York. The footage shows several individuals swimming laps in the blue water, with one person standing at the pool's edge, possibly coaching or preparing to enter. The scene is bathed in the characteristic blue tint and grain of mid-century home movie film, with visible film scratches and a dark, vignetted frame. The setting includes a chain-link fence and poolside equipment, evoking a nostalgic, everyday summer activity from the 1950s.
