Shot on 8mm film in 1953, this vintage home movie captures a group of young people swimming in a pool in Yonkers, New York. The footage shows individuals in swimwear performing various strokes, including freestyle and backstroke, with one swimmer wearing a dark cap. The scene is characterized by the distinct blue tint and grainy texture of 8mm film, evoking a nostalgic, mid-century American summer. The camera remains stationary, observing the swimmers as they move through the water, creating a candid and authentic slice of 1950s leisure. This archival footage is ideal for documentaries, nostalgic content, and historical projects.
