Youth Swimmers Diving and Swimming at Public Pool — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1953, this vintage home movie captures youth swimmers at a public pool in Yonkers, New York. A young girl in a red and blue one-piece swimsuit executes a graceful dive, her body arcing over the turquoise water. Another swimmer in a pink swimsuit watches from the pool's edge. The footage shows classic mid-century swimwear, a chain-link fence surrounding the pool, and the characteristic grain and color fade of Super 8 film. This authentic slice of Americana offers nostalgic, archival footage for documentaries, editorial content, or historical projects.
