Man Holding Freshly Caught Fish Near Car at Night — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm home movie footage from Idaho, USA, in 1955 shows a man in a dark coat holding a freshly caught fish near a classic car. The scene unfolds at night with dramatic blue lighting, capturing the fisherman's hands as he handles the fish and later reveals his face with a cigarette. The grainy, nostalgic quality of the film and the outdoor setting with trees in the background evoke a strong sense of mid-century Americana and personal memory.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1950s Idaho home-movie coverage of outdoor fishing, roadside handling of a catch, or mid-century recreational life inserts.
Period detail: The dark coat, classic car surfaces, cigarette, and 8mm color stock support a mid-1950s home-movie reading without identifying a specific make or site.
Home-movie behavior: The scene has an unstaged family-film quality as a man handles a fresh fish near a car and briefly turns into view with a cigarette.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a man in a dark coat, a small fish, hands close to the catch, a car body, a cigarette, trees, and strong blue night lighting.
Film character: Grain, deep shadows, saturated blue exposure, and handheld framing give the scan a physical 8mm home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief insert, memory beat, or cutaway for fishing, travel, outdoor recreation, or mid-century personal footage.
Historical context: The clip reflects casual postwar leisure and home documentation of a fishing moment, with the camera staying close to hands, car, and face.
Research note: People and a visible face require likeness review, while copyright, location, and any property or vehicle issues should be assessed separately.
Research search match: Searches may include 1950s Idaho fishing home movie, 8mm man holding fish, vintage car roadside fishing, or cigarette outdoors archival footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent reel material, then other 1955 Idaho footage, then related fishing, roadside travel, car, and outdoor leisure scenes.
