1971: Elevated cabin suspended from cables ascends a mountain toward a tower in Vermont. This vintage 8mm home movie captures a gondola ride through scenic alpine terrain, with passengers visible inside the cabin. The footage shows wavy shadows, crossbars, and beams against a vast sky, conveying a sense of motion and anticipation. The mechanical system of cables and towers supports the cabin as it climbs, offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and trees. A nostalgic glimpse of retro transportation and outdoor adventure in the 1970s.
