A vintage 8mm home movie from 1984 in California captures a curious domestic scene: a cat and a rat coexisting inside a house. The cat watches intently as the rat moves near a pillar, floor, and wall, with a chair visible in the background. The footage shows the animals in close-up, with the rat appearing to eat or forage, possibly due to hunger. The grainy, nostalgic quality of the Super 8 film adds a surreal, candid charm, evoking a sense of quiet observation and unexpected companionship in a domestic setting.
