Women Relaxing On A Concrete Balcony Bordering A Lake — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1960, this vintage home movie captures a sunny day at a lakeside pool in Brighton, Michigan. Women in classic swimsuits relax on the concrete deck, while others prepare to swim or already enjoy the water. A young boy leaps from the ladder into the lake, creating a splash. The footage shows the era's fashion, including striped swimsuits and swim caps, with natural film grain and rich, saturated colors. The scene is framed by a green metal fence, with clothes hanging nearby, evoking a nostalgic, community-focused summer day.
