People Rafting Down A River On A Sunny Day — Clip Details

UTAH-1969: A vintage 8mm home movie captures a group of people rafting down a rushing river on a sunny day. The footage shows turbulent water with whitecaps and a raft navigating the rapids, viewed through a dark frame typical of old film. The scene is bathed in bright sunlight, creating high contrast between the dark riverbanks and the shimmering water. The grainy, slightly faded color palette and film scratches add to the authentic retro feel of this archival outdoor adventure.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s outdoor recreation, river travel, or adventure-sport sequences needing authentic Utah home-movie rafting footage.
Period detail: The 8mm color look, high-contrast sunlight, and small raft on whitewater support a late-1960s home-movie context without visible modern markers.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has the value of an observer filming from shore as a raft passes through rapids, preserving an unstaged recreational moment.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a rushing river, foamy whitewater, a small raft, dark rocky banks, bright sun glare, and heavy gate framing.
Film character: Grain, faded color, deep shadows, frame edges, and slight softness give the shot a physical 8mm home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief cutaway, transition, or memory beat for rafting, summer travel, river danger, or family adventure.
Historical context: The footage reflects mid-century leisure travel and outdoor recreation in Utah as seen through a personal camera, not a formal news record.
Research note: No recognizable people, logos, or private property are visible, but copyright, location verification, and any unseen likeness or property issues still require review.
Research search match: Search phrases this may match include 1969 Utah rafting home movie, vintage 8mm river rapids, 1960s whitewater recreation, and family travel river footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1969 Utah outdoor footage, then broader vintage rafting or river recreation scenes.
