Man Sitting and Smoking Beside Two-Tone Suv — Clip Details

NIGERIA-1969: A man in a light-colored shirt and trousers sits in a folding chair beside a vintage two-tone SUV, smoking a cigarette. Another man in a blue shirt and shorts stands by the open car door, adjusting a hat. They are in a grassy, wooded area with a small wooden table between them. The footage, shot on 8mm film, captures a candid moment of rest during a journey, with a red cooler and a white bucket nearby. The scene exudes a relaxed, nostalgic atmosphere of a 1960s road trip.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1969 Nigeria travel footage suited to documentary requests for roadside rest, official-looking personnel, and expatriate or administrative journey material.
Period detail: The two-tone utility vehicle, folding camp furniture, cooler, clothing, and 8mm color stock support a late-1960s travel or field-stop setting.
Home-movie behavior: The clip preserves an unstaged pause as one man smokes from a folding chair while another handles a hat beside the open vehicle door.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include two adult men, a vintage SUV with open doors, a small wooden table, folding chairs, a red cooler, a white bucket, grass, trees, and rocks.
Film character: The 8mm image has soft focus, visible grain, slight exposure variation, and contact-sheet edge shadows that reinforce its home-movie origin.
Edit role: Editors can use this as a brief cutaway or memory beat for travel, roadside waiting, fieldwork, or off-duty moments in a 1960s Nigeria sequence.
Historical context: The scene shows adult men resting outdoors beside a vehicle in Nigeria, suggesting mobile work or travel without establishing a specific institution or event.
Research note: Faces and a visible vehicle mark may need likeness, trademark, and contextual review; copyright status is separate from these clearance questions.
Research search match: Likely searches include 1969 Nigeria 8mm roadside stop, men smoking near vintage SUV, African travel home movie, and field journey rest cutaway.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent reel material, then other Nigeria 1969 travel footage, then broader 1960s roadside rest or fieldwork scenes.
