Vintage Aircraft Lands on Dusty Field on Three Tires — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1969, this vintage footage captures a small propeller aircraft landing on a dusty, open field in Sudan. The plane, a classic single-engine model with a blue and white fuselage, touches down and rolls forward on its three wheels across the dry terrain. The grainy, slightly overexposed image and dark film borders evoke a nostalgic, archival home movie feel. The aircraft slows after landing, its propeller still turning, as it moves across the barren landscape under an overcast sky.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s archival requests needing small aircraft, bush-strip aviation, or transport activity in Sudan for documentary, education, or editorial sequences.
Period detail: The 8mm color stock, boxy high-wing aircraft, and simple open landing field may show late-1960s private or light utility aviation.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has an unstaged observer perspective, following a small plane as it approaches, lands, and taxis past the camera.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a high-wing propeller aircraft, blue and white fuselage, open grassy field, overcast sky, landing gear, dark film borders, and partial registration lettering.
Film character: The footage has soft 8mm grain, mild overexposure, gate shadows, and slight handheld instability that place it firmly in a physical home-movie archive texture.
Edit role: Editors could use this as an aviation insert, travel transition, rural airstrip cutaway, or brief memory beat within a 1960s Sudan sequence.
Historical context: The scene shows light aircraft travel on an open field, offering visual context for regional transport without confirming the airstrip, operator, or purpose.
Research note: Visible aircraft registration or markings should be reviewed for trademark, operator, and copyright context; no people are visible, but clearance is not guaranteed.
Research search match: Search matches include 1969 Sudan 8mm aircraft landing, vintage small plane on field, home movie light aviation, and propeller aircraft taxiing.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with the same reel, then other Sudan 1969 footage, then related clips of vintage aviation, field landings, rural transport, or travel movement.
