Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1950s California parade footage, mid-century pageant imagery, or documentary sequences needing brief crowd and military parade inserts.
Period detail: The swimsuit sash, crown-topped HOLLAND banner, small flags, bright daylight street setting, and 8mm color stock support a mid-century parade context.
Home-movie behavior: The camera lingers from a spectator position as the woman smiles and waves, then catches marching uniformed men and a seated crowd from street level.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a blonde woman in a blue swimsuit and sash, a HOLLAND banner, crown decoration, flags, street crowd, uniformed marchers, and modernist building facades.
Film character: The clip has saturated 8mm color, soft focus, gate edges, grain, and handheld framing that preserve the feel of a family-shot parade reel.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a quick parade insert, a transition from pageant display to military procession, or a nostalgic civic celebration cutaway.
Historical context: The footage appears to show public parade spectacle mixing ethnic or national-themed float imagery with uniformed marching participants and spectators.
Research note: People, faces, a visible HOLLAND display, and military uniforms warrant review for likeness, trademark or signage context, and editorial versus commercial use.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1952 California 8mm parade footage, blonde woman waving on float, Holland banner parade, and vintage military parade crowd scenes.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other California 1952 parade footage, then broader 1950s civic parade or pageant material.
