Woman in Pink Swimsuit Waves from State-Themed Parade Float — Clip Details

A young woman in a pink halter-style swimsuit waves cheerfully from a parade float during a sunny day in California, 1952. She wears a white sash and stands beneath a large banner that reads "LOUISIANA" and later "HAWAII," suggesting a state-themed parade. The 8mm film footage shows vibrant colors, slight grain, and motion blur, capturing a nostalgic moment of mid-century Americana. The scene is festive, with colorful pennant flags and a crown emblem visible above the banners. The woman smiles and gestures to the crowd, embodying the joyful spirit of a 1950s community celebration.
