Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1950s Las Vegas vacation, motel pool, roadside lodging, and mid-century leisure sequences in documentary or educational edits.
Period detail: The frames show 1958-era motel architecture, a blue pool, concrete deck, metal diving board and ladder, striped umbrella, and a visible NEPTUNE sign.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has a visitor-shot home-movie perspective, panning casually from the pool area toward the motel building and poolside equipment.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a swimming pool, concrete deck, green lawn, silver diving board, pool ladder, two-story motel, striped umbrella, and NEPTUNE sign.
Film character: The 8mm footage shows saturated color, soft focus, slight exposure shifts, dark frame edges, and handheld framing typical of mid-century home movies.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief cutaway, transition, or memory beat for Las Vegas travel, motel culture, or summer recreation.
Historical context: The clip visually documents motel-centered leisure and poolside design in a Las Vegas travel setting without showing identifiable guests.
Research note: The NEPTUNE sign may require brand or trademark review, while copyright, property, and signage issues should be evaluated separately from likeness concerns.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1958 Las Vegas motel pool 8mm, vintage roadside motel swimming pool, mid-century vacation footage, and home movie diving board.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with other shots from the same reel, then with Las Vegas 1958 material, then with motel pools, roadside travel, and mid-century recreation footage.
