A man in a hat and suspenders loads sacks onto a mule in a sun-drenched forest clearing in California, 1938. The 8mm home movie captures the rustic preparation for travel, with the mule standing patiently as the man adjusts the pack. The scene is framed by tall evergreen trees and dappled sunlight, showcasing the grainy texture and natural contrast of vintage Super 8 film. Two people stand nearby, observing the process in this authentic slice of mid-20th century outdoor life.
