Guard Stands Outside Post — Clip Details

A young man in a dark military uniform with white trim stands at attention outside a striped guard post in Tabgha, Israel, in 1976. Shot on 8mm film, the footage shows him holding a rifle, with a small flag visible above the post. The scene is bathed in a cool blue tint, characteristic of aged home movie film, with visible grain and scratches. The guard remains motionless as the camera slightly shifts, capturing the quiet duty of a soldier on post.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s Israel archival requests needing a brief exterior guard-post or uniformed-duty insert for documentary, museum, education, or editorial sequences.
Period detail: The dark uniform with white trim, rifle, striped sentry box, iron gate, and 8mm color stock support a mid-1970s home-movie view in Tabgha, Israel.
Home-movie behavior: The footage has a visitor-shot feel, observing a guard standing still on post rather than a staged or formally composed military scene.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a young uniformed guard, a rifle, striped guard post, iron gate, pale building facade, leafy shrubs, and a small flag above the post.
Film character: Cool blue color shift, soft focus, gate weave, dust, scratches, and uneven exposure give the scan a clear aged 8mm home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short cutaway, location-establishing detail, or quiet duty beat within travel, regional history, or military-presence sequences.
Historical context: The clip visually records a uniformed guard outside a post in Tabgha without confirming unit, rank, event, or official ceremony from the frames alone.
Research note: A visible person and military-style uniform require likeness, editorial-context, and subject-identification review separate from any film copyright assessment.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1976 Tabgha Israel 8mm footage, guard post home movie, uniformed serviceman exterior, rifle sentry, and vintage Israel travel film.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1976 Tabgha or Israel exteriors, then broader guard, uniform, sentry, or travel-observation footage.
