Blue Barrel Meter Register At Oil Facility With... — Clip Details

BRISBANE AUSTRALIA-1967: A close-up of a blue 8mm film meter register at an oil or gas facility, showing the counter incrementing from 6840 to 6841 barrels. The mechanical counter and analog display are captured in detail, with the text 'RESET COUNTER TO ZERO BEFORE EACH DELIVERY' visible. The scene transitions to a wider shot of the industrial site, featuring blue and white pipes, valves, and a tall white pole against a backdrop of green trees and a grassy field under a clear blue sky. The footage exhibits classic Super 8 film grain and color saturation, evoking a nostalgic mid-1960s industrial documentary feel.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s industrial archive requests needing Australian oil, gas, fuel delivery, or metering cutaways for documentary, museum, education, or commercial edits.
Period detail: The analog barrel counter, painted pipework, and saturated 8mm color may show mid-1960s industrial infrastructure consistent with the supplied Brisbane, Australia 1967 metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The footage has an observational home-movie perspective, lingering on the mechanical counter before briefly revealing the surrounding pipe installation.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a blue barrel meter register, incrementing numerals, small instruction text, metal fittings, pipework, valves, a pole, grass, trees, and blue sky.
Film character: The scan carries 8mm texture with visible grain, slight softness, strong blue color, and minor exposure shifts that support its archival home-movie character.
Edit role: An editor could use this as an industrial insert, a fuel-delivery cutaway, a transition from detail to site context, or a short process beat.
Historical context: The clip documents an outdoor industrial meter and pipe installation, offering visual context for fuel or fluid handling without confirming the operator or facility type.
Research note: No people are visible, but the meter face may include identifiable manufacturer or product markings, so trademark and location-related review may still be needed.
Research search match: Searchers might look for 1967 Brisbane 8mm industrial footage, oil facility barrel meter, fuel delivery counter, blue pipe valves, or Australian midcentury infrastructure.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent footage from the same reel, then other Brisbane 1967 material, then broader 1960s Australian industry, fuel, pipeline, or utility scenes.
