Brisbane Australia-1967: Men At Oil Facility With Meter Register Counting Barrels

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit

Useful for 1960s industrial energy infrastructure requests needing real 8mm footage of oil pipes, workers, and a barrel meter for documentary or educational edits.

Period detail

The white shirts, mechanical barrel counter, painted industrial piping, and saturated 8mm color support a mid-1960s industrial setting in Brisbane as supplied by the clip metadata.

Home-movie behavior

The camera observes workers and equipment from a visitor-like position, then lingers on the meter as the barrel count advances.

What appears in frame

Visible elements include men in white shirts, large oil pipes, valve wheels, low industrial field structures, gravel, and a blue mechanical meter register.

Film character

The clip has handheld 8mm texture with strong grain, saturated blue tones, slight gate softness, and uneven exposure typical of small-gauge home-movie film.

Edit role

An editor could use this as an industrial cutaway, process insert, or transitional detail showing measured oil movement through facility equipment.

Historical context

The footage shows an operational industrial setting where people, pipes, valves, and a mechanical barrel counter are presented as everyday infrastructure rather than staged demonstration.

Research note

People and a visible meter label or brand-like marking require likeness and trademark review, separate from copyright or footage licensing checks.
