View Of Blue And White Oil Storage Tank And Pipeline... — Clip Details

BRISBANE AUSTRALIA-1967: A vintage 8mm film clip captures a large white oil storage tank with 'MOONIE OIL UNION KERN A-O-C' lettering, set against a clear blue sky. The scene transitions to a complex industrial pipeline structure with white pipes and blue pumps, arranged in a symmetrical pattern on a wooden platform. Shot outdoors on a sunny day, the footage features distinct 1960s film grain, color saturation, and a dark vignette border typical of home movies. The sequence offers a nostalgic look at mid-century industrial infrastructure in Australia.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: This clip supports 1960s editorial uses needing Brisbane-area industrial oil infrastructure, storage tanks, or pipeline cutaways from real home-movie film.
Period detail: The rounded oil tank lettering, exposed pipework, blue pumps, and saturated 8mm color place the scene in a mid-1960s industrial setting supported by the 1967 metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The footage reads as a visitor-shot or observer-shot industrial view, pausing on signage and then on the symmetrical pipeline assembly without staged action.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a white MOONIE OIL tank, painted block lettering, curved tank wall, ladder edge, white pipeline racks, blue pump units, timber decking, trees, sky, and utility wires.
Film character: The clip has dense 8mm grain, strong blue color saturation, slight softness, uneven exposure, and dark rounded frame edges that preserve the physical home-movie scan character.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a concise industrial cutaway, a transition into oil or energy history, or a visual insert for mid-century Australian infrastructure.
Historical context: The scene visually documents oil storage and pipe handling equipment in an outdoor industrial setting, with no visible workers or public activity in these frames.
Research note: Visible MOONIE OIL and Union Kern A-O-C lettering should be reviewed for trademark or brand-use concerns; no people are visible, but copyright and location rights remain separate checks.
Research search match: Researchers might search for 1967 Brisbane 8mm oil tank footage, Moonie Oil storage tank, Australian pipeline structure, or 1960s industrial home movie.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent reel shots, then other Brisbane 1967 material, then broader Australian oil, storage tank, pipeline, energy, or industrial infrastructure footage.
