Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s editorial sequences needing Australian roadside industry, small oil infrastructure, or motel travel cutaways from home-movie footage.
Period detail: The motel tower sign, low roadside building, parked 1960s car, and small oil yard equipment support the stated 1967 setting without identifying the company.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has a visitor-shot roadside viewpoint, observing a motel sign and industrial yard from outside rather than staging any activity.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include oil tanks, pipework, valves, floodlight poles, open sky, a roadside motel building, a Moonie Motel tower sign, and a parked car.
Film character: The 8mm scan shows saturated blue skies, visible grain, soft focus, slight vignette, and handheld framing typical of mid-century home-movie material.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short insert, transition, or contextual cutaway for travel, resource industry, or roadside Australia sequences.
Historical context: The footage places small-scale oil infrastructure near roadside accommodation, suggesting everyday links between industry, travel, and regional business life.
Research note: The Moonie Motel sign is a visible brand or business identifier, so trademark, location, and copyright questions should be reviewed separately from likeness rights.
Research search match: Searches such as 1960s Brisbane oil yard, Australian roadside motel 8mm, Moonie Motel sign, vintage industrial tanks, and home movie travel footage may match this clip.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with nearby shots from the same reel, then Brisbane or Australia 1967 material, then broader 1960s oil industry or roadside motel footage.
