Girls Chatting In A Room With A Table Of Bottles — Clip Details

SOUTHAMPTON NEW YORK-1937: Young women in vintage 1930s attire chat and laugh in a sun-drenched room with a stone wall backdrop. A table covered in a polka-dot cloth holds numerous glass bottles, likely soda or condiments, while a white drawstring bag rests in the foreground. The footage, shot on 8mm film, captures candid moments of social interaction, with one woman in a dark swimsuit standing and another seated in a patterned dress. The warm, slightly faded color palette and film grain evoke a nostalgic, archival feel, characteristic of a personal home movie from the era.

Period detail: Visible period clues include 1930s dresses or swimwear, a polka-dot tablecloth, glass bottles, and the soft color and handling typical of 8mm home-movie footage.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has unstaged value in the women’s relaxed chatting, smiling, and shifting attention around a casual indoor gathering.
What appears in frame: The frames show young women, a bottle-covered table, a polka-dot cloth, plates, a white drawstring bag, a stone or textured wall, and soft interior light.
Film character: The footage carries dense 8mm grain, faded color, uneven exposure, and slight handheld framing that read as physical-film archival texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief social-life insert, a domestic leisure cutaway, or a memory beat within a 1930s New York or home-movie sequence.
Historical context: The scene suggests an informal gathering of young women in a private interior, with clothing and table setting offering visual context for leisure and sociability.
Research note: People, possible branded bottles, and private property are visible, so copyright status should be assessed separately from likeness, brand, and property considerations.
