Parade Float Down City Street — Clip Details

A vibrant 1966 parade in Norfolk, Virginia, captured on 8mm film, shows a colorful float with a white base and pink fabric moving down a sunlit street. A large crowd of spectators, many in summer attire and hats, lines the sidewalk, watching the procession. In the background, a Hertz Rent A Car sign and a Don's Beer & Wine store are visible, with a Ferris wheel rising in the distance. Marching band members in bright costumes perform as a white classic car decorated with pink ribbons drives past. The footage exhibits natural film grain and slight color fading, characteristic of vintage home movies.
